Message from the Principal

Dear Freedom Families,

My name is David Campbell, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Freedom Elementary School. With immense joy and enthusiasm, I join the Freedom Family, a community I have already come to admire deeply through our conversations.

I come to Freedom with 16 years of professional experience in Plainfield as a teacher and administrator, all at the elementary level. My wife, Jill, and I live in Oswego with our two children.  Carson will be in 4th grade and Avery will be in 1st grade. I look forward to you all getting to meet them at various school functions.  

As a principal, I believe in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student, parent, and staff member feels valued and heard. As we move forward, my goal is to ensure that every member of our community feels connected and engaged and that we continue to grow together in a spirit of collaboration and mutual respect.

As a community, your involvement is crucial to our success. We invite you to actively participate in your child’s education and our school activities. Your insights, feedback, and support are invaluable to us, and together, we can create a positive and enriching experience for all our students.

I am eager to meet each of you and to hear your thoughts and aspirations for our school. Let’s work together to make Freedom Elementary School a place where every child feels they belong, where they are inspired to learn, and where they can achieve great things.
